Locations & Pricing
Morro Bay
Morro Bay is a unique fishery for halibut. There are not many places that you can have a chance to catch a California halibut on light gear such as 12lb test line. Using lighter gear makes for a fun and exciting experience where you get to fight the fish and not the heavy gear. This is perfect for fisherman to truly experience the fight these fish have to offer. The fish range from 8lbs to 20lbs although bigger models up to 45lbs have been landed. Besides halibut we can also encounter various types of sharks and rays which put up an amazing fight and great pictures.
This fishery is all flat water. There will be times it will be glass calm during the day. Perfect for fisherman that don't enjoy being bounced around on the open ocean. The fishery itself is a tide dependent system. Usually we are fishing the incoming tide but if a group wants to prolong the experience we can also fish the outgoing tide. We use primarily live bait drifting on the bottom. We can cast artificial lures if requested but live bait is the main ticket.

$300 for 2 people
